BPPV is dizziness that occurs when you lie down in bed, roll over in bed, bend over or look up. It typically lasts between 20-30 seconds. BPPV occurs when dislodged pieces of calcium move from the central part of the inner ear to the semicircular canals.
Other forms of dizziness will require a PCP evaluation and referral.
BPPV typically responds well to the Epley maneuver. Our providers can help you with this process.
