Tonsillectomy
- At least seven (7) episodes in the preceding year
- At least five (5) episodes in the past two years
- Sleep apnea
- Documented antibiotic treatments
Adenoidectomy
- Recurrent upper airway infections
- Acute otitis media
- Adenoid hypertrophy
- Documented antibiotic treatments
Ear Tubes
- Fluid buildup for at least 4 months, less if hearing loss or affects speech development
- Recurrent ear infections, 3 episodes of AOM in the last 6 months or 4 episodes in the last 12 months with 1 occurring in the last 6 months
- Documented antibiotic treatments
