{"id":1696,"date":"2022-11-22T19:20:44","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T00:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/negaent.fm1.dev\/?page_id=1696"},"modified":"2022-11-22T19:21:14","modified_gmt":"2022-11-23T00:21:14","slug":"tympanoplasty-mastoidectomy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/negaent.com\/post-op\/tympanoplasty-mastoidectomy\/","title":{"rendered":"Post-Op Tympanoplasty \/ Mastoidectomy Instructions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul>\n<li>Start with clear liquids after surgery then progress your diet as tolerated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take antibiotics, ear drops, pain medication and nausea medication as prescribed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expect some bloody strained drainage from your ear for about a week.&nbsp; Until drainage stops, you may wear a cotton ball in your ear to avoid soiling or staining.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may shower the day after surgery.&nbsp; When showering wear a cotton ball covered with antibiotic ointment in your ear.&nbsp; Cover any other incision with antibiotic ointment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No heavy lifting or strenuous exercise for 2 weeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No nose blowing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your stitches are absorbable and will not need to be removed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I will see you back 2-3 weeks after your surgery and will remove some of the packing in your ear canal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please call my office with any problems, concerns or questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE:\u00a0 SURGICAL FEES DO NOT INCLUDE POST-OP VISIT FEES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tw-target-text\">Instrucciones postoperatorias de timpanoplastia\/mastoidectom\u00eda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Empiece con una dieta de liquidos claros despues de la cirugia y luego avance a su dieta normal segun la tolere.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tome antibioticos, gotas para los oidos, medicamentos para el dolor y nausea segun las indicaciones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No se suene la nariz.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anticipe tener un poco de drenaje sangriento de su oido por una semana. &nbsp;Hasta que el drenaje discontinue, puede utilizar una bola de algodon en el oido para evitar ensuciarse o mancharse.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Puede banarse al dia siguiente de la cirugia. Al banarse use una bola de algodon cubierta con la pomada de antibiotico en el oido.
