{"id":1670,"date":"2022-11-22T18:10:36","date_gmt":"2022-11-22T23:10:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/negaent.fm1.dev\/?page_id=1670"},"modified":"2022-11-22T18:10:37","modified_gmt":"2022-11-22T23:10:37","slug":"garlich","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/negaent.com\/post-op\/septoplasty-turbinate-reduction-sinus-surgery\/garlich\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Garlich\u2019s Post Op Sinus and\/or Septoplasty\/Turbinate Reduction Surgery Instructions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul>\n<li>Start with clear liquids after surgery then progress your diet as tolerated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expect some mild to moderate pain and don\u2019t be afraid to take your pain medicine as prescribed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take nausea medication and antibiotics as directed (if prescribed).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not take NSAIDS (Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Advil) or products that contain NSAIDS for 2 weeks unless instructed to do so by Dr. Garlich.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expect some nasal congestion for up to 2 weeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expect some bloody drainage from your nose for up to 7 days.&nbsp; Use the nasal drip pad\/gauze with tape as needed for drainage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DIRECTLY after arriving home from surgery, MINIMIZE activity as much as possible until bleeding has significantly decreased.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you experience any nasal bleeding, stop any activity and rest with your head elevated, such as in a recliner.&nbsp; Continue limiting activity until your physician instructs you otherwise.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use 2 squirts of Afrin Nasal Spray in each nostril 4 times daily.&nbsp; Do not use longer than 4 days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Starting the day after surgery, begin Neil-Med Saline Rinse in each nostril 4-5 times a day while awake and continue until your physician instructs you to stop.&nbsp; Use ONLY Distilled Water for the rinse.&nbsp; If you have nasal splints in place, begin the rinse after the splints are removed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No heavy lifting or strenuous activity for 2 weeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sleep with your head elevated, such as in a recliner, until nasal bleeding stops completely.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No nose blowing.&nbsp; Keep mouth open when sneezing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please call my office with any problems, concerns or questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE:\u00a0 SURGICAL FEES MAY NOT INCLUDE POST-OP VISIT FEES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INSTRUCCIONES POST-OP DEL DR. GARLICH PARA LA CIRUGIA DEL SENO NASAL Y\/O SEPTOPLASTIA\/REDUCCION DE CORNETE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Empiece con una dieta de l\u00edquidos claros despu\u00e9s de la cirug\u00eda y luego avance a su dieta normal seg\u00fan la tolere.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anticipe tener dolor leve a moderado y no tenga miedo de tomar su medicina para el dolor seg\u00fan las indicaciones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tome los medicamentos para la n\u00e1usea y antibi\u00f3tico seg\u00fan las indicaciones (si le fueron recetados).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No tome NSAIDS (Aspirina, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Advil) o productos que contienen NSAIDS por 2 semanas, al menos que se le indique el Dr. Garlich .<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anticipe tener congesti\u00f3n nasal por 2 semanas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anticipe tener un poco de drenaje sangriento de la nariz por 7 d\u00edas.&nbsp; Use gasa\/almohadilla con cinta adhesiva para el goteo nasal seg\u00fan sea necesario.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DIRECTAMENTE despu\u00e9s de llegar a casa de la cirug\u00eda, minimicesu actividad tanto como sea posible hasta que el sangrado se reduzca significativamente.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Si tiene cualquier hemorragia nasal, detenga toda actividad y descanse con la cabeza elevada, por ejemplo en un sill\u00f3n reclinable.&nbsp; Contin\u00fae con actividades limitadas hasta que su m\u00e9dico le indique lo contrario.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roc\u00ede 2 chorritos de Afrin Nasal Spray en cada fosa nasal cada 4 horas diariamente.&nbsp; No lo utilice por m\u00e1s de 4 d\u00edas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A partir del d\u00eda despu\u00e9s de la cirug\u00eda, comience los enjuagues de Neil-Med Saline en cada fosa nasal 4-5 veces al d\u00eda mientras est\u00e1 despierto y contin\u00fae haci\u00e9ndolo hasta que su m\u00e9dico le indique lo contrario.&nbsp; Utilice SOLAMENTE agua destilada para los enjuagues.&nbsp; Si tiene tablillas nasales, comience los enjuagues despu\u00e9s que el m\u00e9dico remueva las tablillas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No levante objetos pesados \u200b\u200bo haga actividades vigorosas durante 2 semanas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duerma con la cabeza elevada, por ejemplo en un sill\u00f3n reclinable, hasta que la hemorragia nasal se detenga por completo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No se suene la nariz.
