As\u00a0<a href=\"\/about\/our-team\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"\/about\/our-team\/\">ENT physicians<\/a>, we can properly diagnose a problem and are highly skilled and experienced in the treatment of any disorders and the related problems that result with the ear, nose and throat. There are many problems that can arise in the ear, nose and throat area. These are among those most seen by our ENT physicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/negaent.com\/ent\/sinusitis\/\">Sinusitis&nbsp;<\/a>is probably the most common ENT disorder and entails the congestion of the nasal passages accompanied by sneezing, headaches, and postnasal drip and a runny nose.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ear infection involves dull pain accompanied by loss of hearing, balance and a fluid discharge. This can usually be resolved with over-the-counter medication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inner ear infection usually comes with a sensation of increased pressure in the ear with some pain. It\u2019s usually caused by a fungal infection in the inner ear canal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Swimmer\u2019s ear patients likely will experience pain while chewing. This is accompanied by swollen lymph nodes. The patient also will feel great pain if their earlobe is tugged or pulled. Swimmer\u2019s ear can be remedied with over-the-counter medication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strep throat comes with fever, fatigue and extreme difficulty in swallowing. In addition, a sore throat and enlarged lymph nodes is associated with strep throat. A doctor will prescribe an antibiotic and a throat analgesic to treat strep throat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tonsillitis involves a severe sore throat as well as fever, chills and trouble swallowing. Tonsillitis may even require surgery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Types of ENT infections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Viral: impacts more than one part of the body and cannot be cured with an antibiotic regimen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bacterial: infections are usually localized, impacting only one side of the throat, and occur when the area is damaged or bruised in some way.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environmental: generally due to dampness (an example is swimmer\u2019s ear). An infection can occur if the ear canal is not kept clean and dry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fungal: this is the worst of the infection types and immediate medical attention should be sought.
